Apple, Inc. today updated its multimedia application QuickTime to 7.5.5 for both Mac and Windows to increase reliability, compatibility and security. According to the security update article that the company posted today, QuickTime 7.5.5 has several important security fixes including





  • an uninitialized memory access issue fix for third-party indeo v5 codec
  • a stack buffer overflow fix for QuickTime handling of panorama atoms
  • a memory corruption issue fix for QuickTime’s handling of STSZ atoms

    TOKYO (MacHouse) – Several hours ago, Apple, Inc. released an OS update for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. According to Apple’s website, this OS X 10.5.3 Update “includes general operating system improvements that enhance the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac.” There are fixes and improvements for such OS X applications/functions as Address Book, AirPort, Automator, iCal, iChat, Mail, Parental Controls, Spaces, Time Machine and VoiceOver.

    Apple Introducing a New Line of iMac Models

    TOKYO (MacHouse) – Rumors were true! Apple, Inc. has introduced a new line of iMac models, 2 with 20-inch display and 2 with 24-inch display. The cheapest model, which costs $1,199, is equipped with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duoe and ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT 128 MB Video RAM. The highest-end mode is priced at $2,199 and equipped with 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS 512MB Video RAM. All models come with a 8x double-layer SuperDrive.
