TOKYO (MacHouse) – Taking a desktop screenshot is something we do daily if not weekly or monthly. It’s just the matter of pressing Command + Shift + #3 or #4, right? Well, how do you highlight the area surrounding the mouse pointer, then? The software title that we submitted to Mac App Store several hours ago is not an ordinary screenshot application. This new software submission is called deskShots, by the way.

deskShots gives you several interesting options when you take a desktop screenshot. You of course have options of including or not including the mouse pointer. Would you also like to highlight the area surrounding the mouse pointer? You can choose a highlight color and its size (diameter). And, of course, you have options of taking a screenshot of the entire desktop area or defining a partial work area. Finally, click on the big green button to take a screen. TOKYO (MacHouse) – So far, we’ve submitted 4 software titles to Mac App Store this month. The most difficult part is come up with a new development idea these days. So it’s not easy for us to get our hands on a 5th or 6th application within the same month. Oh, whoa… Here comes the 5th software submission of the month. This new software submission is called TextAround.

TextAround is a desktop application that lets you easily design colorful, circular text. You can apply a color gradation to text. What you see is what you get. And you can save this circular text as an image in BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPEG 2000, PNG or TIFF.   Continue reading →

TOKYO (MacHouse) – Finally, Apple, Inc. officially released Mavericks yesterday. And we are ready to release a Mavericks-only software title, which we submitted to Mac App Store More than an hour ago. This new software submission is called easyOldies.

easyOldies is a desktop application that makes a picture look like an old photo easily. It utilizes 8 new Core Image graphic filters + 1 traditional effect to achieve this goal. As a result, when you select a picture on the photo list at the bottom, you will have 9 filtered pictures. You now have an option of saving any them as a new picture (BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPEG 2000, PNG or TIFF with v.1.1.0) with or without further applying color adjustments (hue, saturation, brightness, contrast). TOKYO (MacHouse) – Okay, so Apple, Inc. hasn’t released the next operating system yet. Maybe, we can released another desktop application before they do. In fact, several hours ago, we submitted a new desktop application to Mac App store. It’s Image2Go, an existing Mac software title. And it’s been updated to Version 2.

Image2Go Version 2 (hereafter, Image2Go2) is a major update to Image2Go, an existing software title available at Mac App Store, that lets you easily work on image files. You can just drag and drop pictures onto the drop box after selecting an image process tab and configuring settings for it. This update has been developed from scratch with Objective-C. TOKYO (MacHouse) – So Apple, Inc. is likely to release a new operating system around September 22nd. Well, we haven’t had a chance to test it yet. Anyway, we have one more application to release before Apple, Inc. introduces us Mavericks. Actually, we already submitted it to Mac App Store about an hour ago. This software submission is called TextCandy.

TextCandy is an extensive status menu application that gives you quick access to text strings (e-mail addresses, code snippets and URLs) you frequently use. It’s not an ordinary status menu application as you can create as many as 16 text fields (text groups). You can store any number of text strings under any of them. Switch between text fields with a click of mouse. You can assign an icon to each text field. Because of these icons, exploring TextCandy’s status menu, you can tell which text field you are under at a glance.   Continue reading →
