TOKYO (MacHouse) – It’s really getting difficult for us to find a subject for which to develop a new Windows software product these days. Sometimes, we ask ourselves what we need so that we can be more efficient in developing software. And that’s how we’ve ended up with DXPurge.

DXPurge is a small Windows application that you can use to delete unnecessary resource files that are borne as a result of importing the folder from Mac OS X. If you have a folder imported from Mac OS X that contains many layers of subfolders, it can take you a few minutes or even longer to delete all those useless files whose names start with ._ (a period and an underscore). DXPurge will delete all Mac-related unnecessary resource files recursively. If you enable the checkbox at the bottom of the window, it will create a Zip archive after removing garbage files. DXPurge will also delete the DS_Store file.

This software title is currently distributed as a freeware title as it’s still in beta. You can use it without limitations till August 1, 2012. It’s been tested for Windows 7 64-bit.

TOKYO (MacHouse) – We just released a new Windows software title a minute ago. And we have one more software product to introduce. The second one to introduce is called ACT123.

ACT123 lets you comprehensively manage account numbers. We got the idea of making something like ACT123 while developing RSV123, a previous software release. RSV123 lets you manage hotel room reservations and involve customer IDs and reservation numbers. Anyway, using ACT123, create an account group, first, and set up account rules by which each account is to be numbered. If you want to serialize account numbers, choose ‘serial.’ Or choose ‘random’ as a type of accounts to make account numbers irregular. Now that you have an account group, all you have to do next is click on the New button, and ACT123 will automatically select a new account number for you.

Note that this application requires a database file, which can be downloaded if you choose Help > Download data file. Moreover, if your computer doesn’t have Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access installed, you may be required to download the database engine installer from Microsoft’s web site. You need to choose AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe as ACT123 is a 64-bit application.

TOKYO (MacHouse) – So far, we only have one software release this month. Well, we have two new software titles to introduce today. The first one to introduce is RSV123.

RSV123 is a simple solution to scheduling and managing room reservations. Room reservations? Yes, it’s used to keep track of hotel room reservations. You can easily toggle from one day to another to see which rooms are reserved on a particular day. In booking a reservation, when you select start date of stay & hour and end date of stay & hour, RSV123 will automatically figure out which rooms are available during the selected span. Cool, huh!?

TOKYO (MacHouse) – These days, it’s getting difficult for us to find a subject for which to develop a new software product. Oh, wait… We’ve just gotten a new one. This new Windows software release is called SwatchAble.

SwatchAble is a simple Windows application that lets you create color swatch collections right out of pictures you select. Each picture may contain tens of thousands of different color pixels. And SwatchAble will only keep unique ones. Choose Pixel Scan > Open Image to select a picture file. In a separte window, choose Scan > Start Scanning Image to let SwatchAble scan color pixels. If everything goes well, you will find your swatch collections under the Swatch menu (on the main window). Furthermore, just as with Color2Code, you will be able to generate actual swatch images for the color profiles listed in the Colors window.

TOKYO (MacHouse) – We are releasing two Windows software title today. The second release of the day is called TextRanger.

TextRanger is something that we came up with while we were developing ZeroDomains, a previous software release. We had to develop the former quickly so that we could go back to ZeroDomains. Inevitably, we only spent a few hours developing TextRanger. TextRanger lets you edit text data by adding/removing some characters from each line. Microsoft Excel could do it easily, right? Actually, not necessarily… When you open a text file with Excel, it can fail to read some type of characters (i.e. é, ü, ô). That’s the very reason why we had to develop one on own own.

TextRanger is a non-destructive line-by-line text editor. And it won’t alter the original text file. What you see on the first column of the list is what you have in the text file you’ve opened. And what you see on the second column is exactly what you will get by choosing File > SaveAs.
