What’s Coming Up Next? – MacHouse Introducing MsgRoll

Windows software MsgRoll

TOKYO (MacHouse) – You never know when you get a new software project idea. A few days ago, it just clicked when I visited a web site. And I asked myself “Wouldn’t it be interesting if you could do it with a Windows application?” Now available to Windows users is a software title called MsgRoll.

MsgRoll is based on a simple idea. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could write notes and then see them all? MsgRoll allows the user to quickly write notes, to each of which you can attach a small picture. When you have more than three messages, MsgRoll will scroll them for you so that you can check them all out.

This software title is currently distributed as a freeware title as it’s still in beta. You can use it without limitations till May 1, 2012. It’s been tested for Windows 7 64-bit.

What’s Coming Up Next? – MacHouse Introducing d-d ZoneX (for Windows)

Windows software d-d Zone X

TOKYO (MacHouse) – It’s been a while since we released the last Windows application. Well… We’ve just released another one. It’s d-d Zone X, another software product that was initially developed for Mac OS X. And it’s now available to Windows users.

Windows software d-d Zone X   Windows software d-d Zone X

d-d Zone X is an application we’ve developed because we want to have quick access to folders on external drives. Navigating to an external drive to locate a folder can be pain. Using d-d Zone X, you are just one step away from accessing a destination folder. Add a folder by clicking on the Add (+) button. Then just choose one from the drop-down menu. If the window color changes to red, that means the selected folder is inaccessible. If it turns green, then it’s accessible. You can easily browse files and folders in it. You want to transfer files to the selected destination folder? Then simply drag and drop one or more files onto the drop box at the center of the window.

This software title is currently distributed as a freeware title as it’s still in beta. You can use it without limitations till May 1, 2012. It’s been tested for Windows 7 64-bit. Note that the version version of the initial Windows release is 1.2.0 because of an existing Mac version.

TOKYO (MacHouse) – There are many great graphics applications. Adobe Photoshop is one. Adobe FireWorks is another. And Adobe Illustrator is one for vector graphics. Whatever you have and whatever you use, it’s not so easy to choose the best font for a selection of text. There must be an easier way of comparing different fonts for the same line of text. Hmm… FontsView?

What’s Coming Up Next? – MacHouse Introducing eHarvest

Windows software eHarvest

TOKYO (MacHouse) – As we noted last time, we are a bit slow this month since we’ve been brushing up existing Windows software titles. Anyway, the second software title of the month has just been released. It’s called eHarvest.

Windows software eHarvest   Windows software eHarvest

eHarvest is a simple solution to extracting e-mail addresses from a body of text. If you have text files (.txt) to scan for possible e-mail addresses, you can simply choose File > Open. Or drag and drop a selection of text directly onto the top text field.

eHarvest doesn’t have many functions yet. And a beta trial version doesn’t allow the user to edit the top-level domain list. We will make sure that you will get to add new top-level domains to the list and delete/edit existing ones when we release a full version at Microsoft‘s app store.

This software title is currently distributed as a freeware title as it’s still in beta. You can use it without limitations till May 1, 2012. It’s been tested for Windows 7 64-bit. In order to use eHarvest, you must have a display capable of showing at least 900 x 650 pixels.
