What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing ServerEyes for macOS
TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – I know I have been absent for nearly eight months. Finally, I’m ready to release a new software title. Before talking about this new release, let me tell you a little bit about my shared server.
My shared server sucks. It goes offline quite often. It was down just some 16 hours ago. It was down three weeks ago. It was down one week before that. And the list is long. Every time my shared server becomes inaccessible, I have to contact my web hosting company to check the status and have it rebooted. So it’s crucial for me to monitor the current status of the server. But what can I do about it? I’m not going to use a web browser to access my website every 10 minutes. I’m not a 24-hour robot. So I won’t know the status of my remote server while I’m sleeping. Well, you know my solution. I resolve a problem by developing a desktop application or an iOS app. And that’s what I have done in the last 5 days. This new software title is called ServerEyes. Continue reading
What’s Coming Up Next? – Tom Bluewater Introducing Firestorms for macOS
TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – It has been more than one month and a half since I released a new software title. What have I been up to lately? Actually, I’ve been whipping myself very hard to work on a new desktop application, which I’m ready to release today. This new software title is called Firestorms.
Firestorms is a document-based application that deals with graphics, maybe, similar to Preview. Actually, I wanted to develop something similar to Adobe Fireworks. But the task has been quite tough, doing everything all by myself. To this extent, it’s half-baked. Continue reading
