TOKYO (Tom Bluewater) – The summer is here. The daytime temperature is expected to rise to 31 celsius (87.8 F) in the Tokyo area today. I like the summer, but the recent scorching heat is too much for me.
In order to deal with the scorching heat, I’ve developed a new iOS app. This is my first iOS app with Augmented Reality. This new release is called CrimeSceneCapture.
CrimeSceneCapture is an AR (augmented reality) app that lets you photo-document evidence at crime scenes with your iOS device (iPhone & iPad). As a crime scene investigator, it must be important for you to preserve evidence at a crime scene. Sometimes, you may find one piece of evidence or more after forensic photographers have left. What you currently have in your hand may be an iOS device and want to take photos of evidence with numbered markers. That’s the primary use of this app.
CrimeSceneCapture lets you project as many as 999 numbered cubic markers on the camera screen at a time. All it takes is a finger tap on the screen to post a numbered cubic marker with a color of your choice. It just takes another finger tap on an existing marker to remove it from the screen. Numbers are automatically incremented. Or you can set any number between 0 and 999. Furthermore, CrimeSceneCapture comes with four 3D objects (body, knife, pistol, ruler) that assist you in photo-documenting crime scenes. You can move, zoom in and out and rotate these 3D objects.
