McDonald’s Japan has confirmed that some of their free MP3 players have been infected by computer viruses. The company had a sweepstake from August 4 through the end of the month. 10,000 lucky winners may have won a McDonald’s original MP3 player plus 10 pieces of MP3 music.

Holland-based company OneStat.com has recently published its periodical analysis of Internet usage. According to the numbers shown at their site, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is still the most dominantly used Internet browser. It accounted for 83.05% of total web usage in July 2006. Mozilla.org’s Firefox takes the second place and has 12.93% share. And Apple’s Safari only has 1.84% of share, according to OneStat.com. Continue reading
Google Launching ‘Google Mac Blog’
Google Inc started on Moday a blog exclusively for Mac users. It is called Google Mac Blog and uses ‘Blogger’ to host it. In the meantime, Google has setup up a page for Google tools that Mac users can use.

So… You have created video with Final Cut, iMovie or whatever and produced an MOV file. Now, are you ready to convert it into FLV?
If you have Adobe Flash, you can convert MOV files into FLV in 2 ways or more. When you install Flash 8, you will get a flash component named ‘FLV.component’ in Library/QuickTime. And you can access this component with QuickTime Pro or Flash 8 VideoEncoder, which comes with the Flash package. Furthermore, the default compressor included in this component is On2 VP6. By the way, the latest version of Adobe Flash for Mac is 8 and is not in Universal Binary. Continue reading
