Web Statistics for December 2006
Our websites are visited by several hundred people every day with many thanks. Let’s see web statistics for the first 24 days of December, 2006.
As we are serving mostly Mac users, just like last time (July 2006), there is no surprise that a majority of visitors here use Mac OS. That explains that a majority of our visitors use Safari. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer takes the second place with 34.9%. (It was 14.1% in July) Internet Explorer is still very popular among both Mac and PC users. Actually, back in July, Internet Explorer was the third place. And Windows users only accounted for 20% of all visitors here. Apparently, our websites are visited by more PC users than before. Furthermore, Firefox fell to the third place with 20.3%. (It was 22.8% before.) Continue reading
Torrent, Porn and Spyware
Some Torrent websites are run illegally. Inevitably, they move from one hosting company to another. And online gambling is illegal in some countries. So how are Torrent and porn sites related to each other? We know that many Torrent websites advertise porn sites, gambling sites or both. They seem to get along with each other. These days, spyware has joined the club. Like this one, “cmb_243461.exe.” According to Kaspersky and Symantec, this PC program is spyware. More precisely, it’s a dialer. Laying a Watermark Layer with QuickTime Pro
There are many ways in which you can put a watermark image in video. If you know how to use iMovie or Final Cut Pro, you can just import an image with alpha transparency and lay it on the video track.
