Adobe Systems Incorporated has released an updater for its verctor drawing software Illustrator CS3 (Adobe Illustrator 13.0). The company provides an updater for both Mac and Windows OSs. As far as what’s updated is concerned, Adobe writes,

“The Adobe® Illustrator® CS3 13.0.1 update, which is recommended for all Illustrator CS3 users, addresses issues related to overall performance and reliability in several key areas, including fixes for LiveColor, PSD file import, Chinese IME, printing, graphic styles, color management, transparency, and Live Effects.”

Maxon has released an updater (.zip) for both Mac and Windows versions of its popular 3D modeling software Cinema 4D R10. The file size is about 111 MB. And updated language modules are also available for several languages including Czech, French, German, Italian, Japanease and Spanish. According to the software developer, this release gives more than a dozen improvements and bug fixes to Cinema 4D R10.

The long wait is over for Snapz Pro X users. Ambrosia Software has updated its popular screen capture shareware title for Mac to 2.1.0. This version is in Universal Binary, so Intel-Mac users are now able to run Snapz Pro X natively to capture screen movements. According to the software developer, this updated version allows the user to compress H.264 video with multi-pass.

Apple, Inc. has released Mac OS 10.4.10 update. This update includes many OX fixes and security updates. One of the fixes, for example, is a fix “for a specific issue in which users importing video from a DV camera may experience dropped frames,” according to Apple.

Unfortunately, this OS update does not offer a direct fix for the QuickTime problem for which some movies cannot be viewed. On the other hand, it seems that the QuickTime problem is alleviated to some extent in that some of the movies longer than 12 minutes or so may now be viewed.
